Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Government Pleader for Excise appearing for the respondents. 2.
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking release of black jaggery confiscated by the 3rd respondent in connection with Crime No.C3/235/2016, dated 16.08.2016.

It is not in dispute that the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the 2nd respondent on 16.03.2018 against the order of confiscation and same is pending.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to decide the said appeal within a period of four
(4) weeks from today and communicate his decision to the petitioner.
