THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY W.P.NOS.14117 AND 14229 OF 2019 COMMON ORDER Assailing the action of the Telangana State Election Commission, represented by its Secretary, in disqualifying the petitioners vide the impugned orders dated 20.01.2018 and 27.11.2017, from contesting any election to be held for any office under the provisions of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 for a period of three years, for failure on their part in lodging final accounts of election expenses, the present writ petitions have been filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Law and Legislative Department, Sri P.Sudheer Rao, learned Standing Counsel for Election Commission, Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj, Sri G.Narender Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Gram Panchayat, Dharmapuri, for the respondents.
All the learned counsel submitted in consonance that the subject matter in the present writ petitions is squarely covered by the order passed by this court in W.P.No.2630 of 2018 and batch dated 20.03.2019. In view of the same and for the reasons alike as recorded in the above referred writ petition, impugned orders in both the writ petitions are set aside and the writ petitions are accordingly allowed.
Office shall annex a copy of the common order dated 20.03.2019 passed by this court in W.P.No.2630 of 2018 and batch, along with the order. Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
