HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.35630 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of respondents 3 to 8 in harassing the petitioners by calling the petitioners to the respondent Police Station without the reasons. Heard and perused the material available on record. The main grievance of the petitioners is that the respondent police are coming to the petitioners' house and interfering with the petitioners' life and liberty and threatening the petitioners that the respondent police will use third degree methods against the petitioners if the son of the 1st petitioner would not surrender before the respondent police station and that the son of the 1st petitioner has never involved in any criminal cases nor have criminal background.

Considering the grievance of the petitioners, respondent police are directed not to interfere in the affairs of the petitioners without there being any case registered against the petitioners. However, this order will not stand in the way of the respondent police to register a case, if any complaint is lodged against the petitioners for cognizable offence.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ RAJA ELANGO, J Date: 21st October, 2016 KL
