Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition.

Basic facts are not in dispute. Therefore, the Court is not recording various aspects of the issue. The only grievance of the petitioners is, even though consent award was passed on 11.04.2018 and petitioners are identified as eligible to receive compensation of respective extents of their lands, as mentioned in paragraph No.19 of the award, so far compensation is not paid. 3.

Learned Government Pleader representing the Land Acquisition Officer also does not dispute the consent award passed and reflecting the names of the petitioners in paragraph No.19 of the award. He also submits that amount of compensation is ready for disbursement. However, he submits that the petitioners have to submit the requisite documents i.e., legal heir certificate, bank passbooks, pattadar passbooks and title deeds and death certificates. He alleges that if the petitioners appear along with the supporting documents, the amount would be disbursed to them. 4.

Since award was passed on 11.04.2018 and for more than 11⁄2 years compensation is not paid, I deem it necessary to dispose of the Writ Petition with the following directions. i) Petitioners shall appear before the Land Acquisition Officer/the 3rd respondent with all the required documents as recorded above.

ii) On such appearance and producing the relevant documents, if the Land Acquisition Officer satisfies with the documents produced and entitlement of the petitioners, the amount of compensation shall be disbursed without any further delay.

iii) If, for any reason, the Land Acquisition Officer is not satisfied, he shall pass a reasoned order by assigning due reasons in writing.

iv) The said reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioners on the same day requiring them to raise their objections by fixing a date for reporting compliance.
