W.P.No.30927/2016 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice V. Ramasubramanian) The petitioner came up with the above writ petition challenging the order passed by the A.P. Administrative Tribunal rejecting his claim for promotion for the post of Senior Assistant.

At the time when the writ petition came up for orders as to admission, this Court passed an interim order to the following effect. "In the light of the judgment dated 30.10.2008 rendered by this Court in W.P.No.24609 of 2007, the stand of the authorities that the petitioner/applicant is not entitled to aspire for promotion, having relinquished it earlier, cannot be accepted.

There shall accordingly be an interim direction as prayed for."

Following the said interim order, the petitioner was granted promotion on the date of his retirement dated 30.09.2016 before his golden hand shake. Therefore, nothing more survives in this writ petition. Therefore, this writ petition is closed with the observation that whatever benefits the petitioner may be entitled to, by virtue of the order of promotion, as per the service rules, may be granted to him. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
