ORDER

This writ petition pertains to election of a ward member during the year 2005. The term of the ward member is only for a period of five years.

The term of the petitioner, who was elected as ward member in the year 2005, had expired by 2010. The interim order granted by this Court on 23.12.2009 in WPMP No.36385 of 2009, which was made absolute on 22.2.2010, has worked itself out.

In these circumstances, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
