THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.16441 OF 2017 ORDER:

Petitioner is a Secondary Grade Basic Teacher. She claims that she was retired from service on 31.08.2016, two years prior to her actual date of retirement. According to the petitioner, in the service record, her date of birth is recorded as 08.08.1960 and taking the same into consideration, she ought to have been continued in service till 31.08.2018. Alleging inaction on the part of the respondents in attending to her grievance, this Writ Petition is filed. However, it appears, petitioner has not ventilated her grievance in writing to competent authority.

Having regard to the same, the petitioner is directed to make a representation to the District Educational Officer, Karimnagar, the 1st respondent, informing him that erroneously she was retired from service even though, according to her service record, her date of birth is 08.08.1960. On such representation, the 1st respondent shall examine the same thoroughly with regard to the entry of date of birth in the service record and if any mistake was committed earlier retiring the petitioner even before she attained the age of superannuation, the same shall be rectified and appropriate immediate steps shall be taken. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of representation. If there is any change in the entry with regard to

the date of birth contrary to what is stated by the petitioner, the same shall also be informed to her.

Subject to the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
