Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents 1 to 4 and Sri S. Laxminarayana Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation appearing for respondent No.5.

Petitioner claims to be in possession and enjoyment of land to an extent of Ac.0.10 cents in Survey No.161/5 and 6 of Chinagantyada Village, Gajuwaka Mandal, Visakhapatnam District. Taking advantage of the scheme formulated by the Government for regularization of illegal occupation of the Government land, petitioner submitted application for grant of regularization of the subject land. Copy of the application dated 06.09.2016 is enclosed as Ex.P1 at page No.11 of the writ paper book.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application dated 06.09.2016 submitted by the petitioner is pending consideration with the respondent authorities and so far no decision is taken.

With the consent of learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector, Visakhapatnam District, to examine the claim of the petitioner for regularization of unauthorized/illegal occupation of the Government land in the

application submitted by him on 06.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Till such orders are passed, the respondent authorities shall not take coercive steps against the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
