The writ petition is filed for a mandamus declaring the action of the 3rd respondent in calling for tender notice No.71/VET/CZ/GHMC/2014, dated 21-05-2014 as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents to stay the proceedings in the tender notice.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented that in pursuance of the tender notice dated 21-05-2014, the son of one Sri D. Ashok, who is President of the petitioner's association, became highest bidder and the contract was also awarded to him, as such, the cause in the writ petition no longer survives and has become infructuous and the same is not disputed or denied by the other side.

Recording the same, the writ petition is, accordingly,

dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
