ORDER:

Petitioner claims to be owner of Mahindra Swaraj Tractor bearing No.AP 25 AR 1859. The said vehicle was seized by the Forest officials on 18.5.2019. Petitioner was served with show cause notice dated 15.6.2019, calling upon him to show cause as to why the vehicle should not be confiscated. Petitioner submitted his explanation on 18.6.2019, seeking to release the vehicle pending finalisation of the proceedings. Alleging inaction on the said explanation, the present writ petition is filed.

Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Respondents and perused the material on record.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both parties, directing the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner dated 18.6.2019 for release of subject vehicle and pass appropriate orders, as per law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
