The fact, however, remains that, with regards the present acquisition, the Hyderabad Metro Rail has withdrawn acquisition proceedings. While the writ petition was filed by Sri B.Mayur Reddy, learned counsel, the petitioners appear to have changed their counsel after the writ petition was reserved for judgment along with the batch of writ appeals, and Sri T.

Sudhakar Reddy, learned counsel, who now appears on their behalf, submits that the order withdrawing acquisition proceedings has been subjected to challenge in WP.No.36116 of 2016 which is pending on the file of this Court. Be that as it may, as the acquisition proceedings have been withdrawn, the cause in this writ petition does not survive, and the writ petition has become infructuous.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall also stand dismissed. It is made clear that this order shall not preclude the petitioners herein from agitating their claims in W.P.No.36116 of 2016 in accordance with law.
