HONOURABLE MRS J USTICE ANIS CRIMINAL PETITION No. 14102 of 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.157 of 2013 pending adjudication on the file of learned Judicial First Class Magistrate, Prattipadu, East Godavari District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 34 IPC.

Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Public Prosecutor representing the State.

The learned Public Prosecutor states that after completing the investigation in Crime No. 133 of 2012, the police have filed charge sheet and the same is taken on file by the learned Magistrate and registered as C.C.No.157 of 2013. Learned Counsel for the petitioner contends that as the aforesaid Calendar Case is of the year 2013, necessary directions may be given to the trial Court for early disposal of the case. Considering the request of the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the trial Court to dispose of C.C.No.157 of 2013 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law.

Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Criminal Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
