ORDER

This writ petition is filed with the following prayer: "to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in trying to disconnect the single phase service connections of the petitioners which falls under Category V, bearing Nos.69615000199; 69615000200; 69615000201; 69615000202 and 69615000203 respectively, without notice and without issuing any proceedings as arbitrary, illegal and violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents not to disconnect the said service connections of petitioners and pass such other order or orders".

Learned counsel for petitioners submitted that the respondent authorities are trying to disconnect the single phase service connections of petitioners requiring them to obtain three phase service connections.

This Court, by order dated 13.05.2009, directed the respondents not to disconnect the single phase service connections of petitioners without following due process of law and the said order is in force for the last more than 8 years.

In that view of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents not to disconnect the single phase service connections of petitioners without following due process of law. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
