HIGH COURT FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA: HYDERABAD MAIN CASE NO: Criminal Petition No. 5137 of 2023 PROCEEDING SHEET 07.07.2023 ML,J I.A.No.1 of 2023 This application is filed by the petitioner seeking to modify the condition No.(ii), which was imposed on the petitioner by this Court while granting bail in Crl.P.No.5137 of 2023 by order dated 20.06.2023. The said condition is as follows:

"(ii) The petitioner/accused No.5 is directed to attend before the Deaddition centre, Aasha private institute, Road No.14 at Banjara Hills for 30 days with his own expenses and submit the treatment report to the Station House Officer, Kushaiguda Police Station on every Sunday."

The petitioner herein sought modification of his attendance before the De-addiction Centre, Aasha Private Institute, Banjara Hills. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said institute is charging heavy amount and he is not in a position to pay such heavy amount. Instead of that he requests to make his presence

before the de-addiction centre by name Vimochana Counseling Services.

It appears the place where the petitioner sought attendance for deaddiction is not rendering psychotic treatment. It is only a counseling centre.

Whereas, Aasha Private Institute, Banjara Hills, provides counseling services as well as psychotic therapy. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to refer the petitioner herein to Vimochana Counseling Services. Instead, this Court is inclined to refer the petitioner to de-addiction centre run by the Government Hospital for Mental Health, Erragadda, Hyderabad.

In the result, the present application is disposed of referring the petitioner to the Government Hospital for Mental Health, Erragadda, Hyderabad, for attending deaddiction centre and obtaining treatment for 30 days and submit the treatment report to the Station House Officer, Kushaiguda Police Station.

The Registry is directed to communicate copy of this order to the Superintendent, Government Hospital for

Mental Health, Erragadda, Hyderabad, to see that the above order is complied.
