THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.11968 OF 2018 ORDER:

The application filed by the petitioner herein - Indian Oil Corporation Limited, for conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural purpose, was rejected by the Sub-Collector, Madanapalle, vide his endorsement dated 30.05.2013. Aggrieved thereby, petitioner filed an appeal before the District Collector, Chittoor, on 22.10.2013. Petitioner also filed a copy of the postal receipt of sending remainder to the District Collector for early disposal of his appeal, at page No.103 of the material paper book. Alleging inaction on the appeal preferred by the petitioner, this writ petition is filed. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue, appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

As asserted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is still pending consideration by the appellate authority, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the District Collector to examine the appeal filed on 22.10.2013, if the same is received and is pending, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a

period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in this case shall stand closed as consequence. No order as to costs.
