HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U. DURGA PRASAD RAO Writ Petition No.18509 of 2009 ORDER:

The petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not sanctioning the Freedom Fighters Pension to the petitioner inspite of the recommendations as forwarded by the 1st respondent through Letter No.6512/FF-III/2009 dated 06.03.2009 to the 2nd respondent as illegal, arbitrary and unjust and consequently, direct the 3rd respondent herein to consider and grant Freedom Fighters Pension to the petitioner without any further delay.

2) When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Solicitor General representing 2nd respondent in all his fairness would submit that a direction may be issued to the 2nd respondent to consider the case of the petitioner to avoid further delay in passing an order on merits. 3) In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the recommendations forwarded by the 1st respondent through Letter No.6512/FF-III/2009 dated 06.03.2009 and pass an order on merits within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner. No costs.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
