This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to quash the charge sheet in C.C.No.598 of 2011 on the file of the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Bhongir, Nalgonda District. The petitioners 1 to 3 are A.6 to A.8 in Crime No.24 of 2011 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 324, 506, 494 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act against the petitioners herein and others.

Learned counsel for the petitioners and respondent No.2 are not present.

Heard learned Public Prosecutor for the State. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that C.C.No.598 of 2011 on the file of the Additional Munsif Magistrate, Bhongir has ended in acquittal vide judgment dated 07.09.2016. A letter, dated 19.12.2017, addressed by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Pochampalli Police Station, Nalgonda District has been filed to that effect.

In view of the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor that C.C.No.598 of 2011 has ended in acquittal, the relief for quashing the proceedings in the said case has become infructuous.
