This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "to issue a writ, order or direction, particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 1st respondent in not disposing of the case pending before it vide Memo No.22558/EX.II(2)/2016-1 Rev(Ex.II) Department, dated 15.10.2016 whereby granting stay of operation of the order 04.07.2016 in Rc.No.A4/239/2016 passed by the 3rd respondent cancelling the license issued in favour of the 2nd respondent, as illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondent No.1 to dispose of the case vide Memo No.22558/EX.II(2)/2016-1 Rev(Ex.II) Department, dated 15.10.2016 with a time frame."

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners requested the Court to direct respondent No.1 to dispose of the case pending before it vide Memo No.22558/EX.II(2)/2016-1 Rev(Ex.II) Department, dated 15.10.2016, as expeditiously as possible.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioners, without going into the merits of the case, respondent No.1 is hereby directed to dispose of the case pending before it vide Memo No.22558/EX.II(2)/2016-1 Rev(Ex.II) Department, dated 15.10.2016, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
