THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.25191 of 2017 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that though First Information Report was registered on 06-04-2014 under Sections 323 & 506 IPC and Section 3 (1) (r) (s) of (Q) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, thereafter there is no progress in the investigation.

Learned Government Pleader submits that the matter is under investigation and necessary action would be taken in accordance with law.

Having considered the submission and grievance of the petitioner, it is needless to mention that Hon'ble Supreme Court had laid down detailed guidelines with respect to the registration of the First Information Report and the action that is required to be taken in which cases when a complaint is filed as referred in the judgments reported in LALITA KUMARI vs. GOVT OF U.P AND OTHERS1 as well as in ARNESH KUMAR vs. STATE OF BIHAR & ANOTHER2. 4.

The grievance of the petitioner is only on account of the delay. 5.

In that view of the matter, necessary steps as directed above shall be taken as expeditiously as possible.

Subject to the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage and as a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed. No costs. __________________________________ JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM Date:31-07-2017.
