This writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of both parties.

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the representations, dated 21.02.2018 and 04.05.2019, for providing dependent employment in the respondents' company as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and sought a consequential direction to direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment under compassionate grounds in the respondents' company in place of his father-in-law.

Heard Sri K. Jagadishwar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri J. Srinivas Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

It has been contended by the petitioner that his father-in-law was employed with the respondents and while discharging his duties, he has expired on 11.08.2017. Since there is no other eligible family member, the petitioner, being the son-in-law of the deceased employee, has submitted representations to the respondents on 21.02.2018 and 04.05.2019, requesting to consider his case for appointment under the compassionate grounds, but, so far the respondents have not passed any orders on the said representation nor

considered the case of the petitioner for appointment under the compassionate grounds. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner, dated 21.02.2018 and 04.05.2019, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on the representations submitted by the petitioner.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions of the learned counsel for respective parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner on 21.02.2018 and 04.05.2019 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
