The Petitioners pray for the following relief : ... ....to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondent police personnel in interfering the Civil disputes and also pressurizing the Petitioner's family members to settle the matrimonial disputes by paying Rs.1 crore to the 4th respondent without any legal cause as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the 3rd respondent police to restrain in interfering the civil disputes and also not to pressurize the petitioners and their family members to pay Rs. 1 crore to the 4th respondent...
The Assistant Government Pleader (Home) on instructions submits that FIR No.22/2016 was registered on 29.11.2016 and the 1st petitioner is shown as accused No.3 and 2nd petitioner is shown as accused No.4. Offence is registered for the offence under section 498-A of IPC read with Sections 3,4, and 6 of D.P.A. The summoning of the petitioners was during and in the course of investigation in FIR 22/2016. It is stated that the 2nd and 3rd respondents are investigating the crime and not interfering in civil and matrimonial dispute between the parties. The statement is placed on record.
