O R D E R

The only grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the appeal filed by him on 16.07.2016 before the 2nd respondent - Director General Police, against the proceedings of his removal dated 17.08.2013 issued by the 1st respondent - Commissioner of Police, is not being disposed of, therefore, seeks for a direction to dispose of the same.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home (Services) for respondents 1 to 3. Having regard to the averment made by the petitioner and the submissions of learned counsel, since the appeal filed by the petitioner is stated to be pending with the 2nd respondent, without expressing any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of appeal in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.
