THE HONOURABLE Dr.JUSTICE B.SIVA SANKARA RAO I.A.Nos.1 to 3 of 2018 in/and Criminal Petition No.8167 of 2015 ORDER :

The petitioner is the A.1 in C.C.No.547 of 2012 on the file of the II Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad, L.B.Nagar, outcome of Cr.No.498 of 2009 of Cyberabad Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A IPC and Sections 4 and 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act on the report of the 2nd respondent-defacto-complainant. The petition I.A.No.3 of 2018 filed by Cheni Shanker father of the petitioner/ A.1 seeking to permit General Power of Attorney (for short, 'GPA') to represent his son-the petitioner, is allowed. The GPA of the petitioner/ A.1 and the defacto-complainant along with their counsel present and they stated that they have settled the dispute between them amicably and sought permission vide I.A.Nos.1 and 2 of 2018 to compromise the matter and compound the offence.

In view of the compromise between the parties, the same is recorded and they are permitted to compound the offences. In the result, the I.A.Nos.1 to 3 of 2018 are allowed. Consequently, the Criminal Petition is also allowed quashing the proceedings against the petitioner/ accused in C.C.No.547 of 2012 on the file of the II Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad, L.B.Nagar. The petitioner/ accused is acquitted and his bail bonds shall stand cancelled. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
