HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No. 3976 of 2019 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is filed by the petitioner/ accused, in Crime No.3 of 2019 of Chaitanyapuri Police Station, Rachakonda, registered for the offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC, seeking to direct the respondent police to follow the procedure prescribed under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. and the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar v. St at e of Bihar and anot her 1.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/ State. Perused the record.

In view of the innocuous prayer of the petitioner, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the police concerned to follow the provisions under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. and abide by the directions of the Apex Court as set out in Arnesh Kumar's case (supra). As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
