HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Writ Petition No.14821 of 2009 ORDER:

The action of respondents in applying G.O.Ms.No.8 dated 27.01.2009 and G.O.Ms.No.144 dated 15.07.2009 for admission to Under-Graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses for the academic year 2009-10 is questioned in this Writ Petition, as being arbitrary and illegal.

More than seven years have since elapsed and no interim order was also granted in the Writ petition. It is evident that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court, and the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
