Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With their consent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

"....to issue a writ, order or direction more so, a writ in the nature of mandamus, by declaring the in action of the respondents in not mutating the name of the petitioners in the revenue records and not issuing e-adangal as per their application dated 24.10.2016 in respect of the land admeasuring Ac.5.00 cents in Sy.No.337/3CB at Oppicherla Village, Karampudi Mandal, Guntur District, as arbitrary, illegal, unlawful and consequentially to direct the respondents to mutate the name of the petitioners as pattadars and possessors in the revenue records." 3.

Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to mutate the names of the petitioners in the revenue records, at the earliest. 4.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue submits that if the application made by the petitioners is still pending consideration, the same may be directed to be considered, in accordance with law.

Having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent - Tahsildar, to consider the application dated 24.10.2016 submitted by the petitioners for mutation of their names in the revenue records in respect of the land admeasuring Ac.5.00 cents in Sy.No.337/3CB at Oppicherla Village, Karampudi Mandal, Guntur District, in accordance with law, as early as possible preferably within a period of eight (08) to twelve(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. _______________________ JUSTI CE C.
