Though this writ petition is listed before this Court for hearing on the

interlocutory petition, it is noticed that the cause no longer survives. Hence, this final order.

The writ petition was filed challenging the proceedings dated 25.01.2011 whereby the Deputy Director of Mines and Geology, Guntur, granted a quarry lease to the fifth respondent herein for a period of three years. The said lease therefore expired by efflux of time. The challenge thereto by the petitioners is therefore rendered purely academic and does not warrant consideration on merits.
