THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE M. SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRI MI NAL PETI TI ON No.7162 of 2011 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/Accused No.1 and 2, under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to quash F.I.R.No.279 of 2011 on the file of Mancherial Police Station, Adilabad District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A of I.P.C. and Section 4 the Dowry Prohibition Act.
By order dated 18.08.2011, this Court dismissed the criminal petition as withdrawn against the first petitioner/accused No.1 and admitted the Criminal petition and granted interim stay insofar the 2nd petitioner/Accused No.2 only. Now, the learned Public Prosecutor for the State of Telangana representing respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the investigating agency, after completion of investigation, had filed the charge-sheet before the Court concerned and the Calendar Case was ended in acquittal on 30.11.2016. In that view of the matter, the question of quashing the FIR does not arise at this stage. Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand dismissed.
