THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.2754 OF 2016 ORDER:

This petition is filed by the petitioner-accused under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings against him in Crime No.249 of 2015 on the file of the S. Kota Police Station, Vizianagaram District, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8 (c ) r/w 20(b)(ii) of the NDPS Act.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The petitioner is alleged to have transported 200 kgs of ganja illegally in a vehicle.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the quantity of ganja seized from the vehicle of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought by the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
