The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, challenging the action of respondents Nos.3 and 4 in registering FIR No.188 of 2016 against him. 2.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

It is alleged that the petitioner has sent a picture in whatsapp as if Lord Shiva statue is on the makka rock and the same is sent in groups causing hurt to one religion, whereas it is the case of the petitioner that the said pictures are in website and social media and he has not created any such photo and he has no intention to cause any hurt to any religion. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, the official respondents are directed to complete the investigation and file a final report, in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to appear before the Station House Officer concerned as and when required.
