.....RESPONDENT(S) Petition under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the Affidavit filed herein the High Court will be pleased to to issue a Writ, order or direction one in the Nature of Mandamus or otherwise declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the cases of the petitioners for promotion to the post of Line Inspector while promoting the other Linemen who were appointed after 1-8-1977 as arbitrary, illegal, malafide, voilating Art. 14, 16 & 21 of the Constitution of India and issue consequential directions directing the respondents to forthwith consider and promote the petitioners to the post of Line Inspector with effect from the date of promotion of Linemen who were appointed after 1-8-1977 by treating the services of the petitioners as Linemen and issue all consequential benefits in the interest of justice and pass such other order or orders as it deems fit and proper.

ORDER:

Smt.S.V.Indira, learned counsel, whose name appears in the cause list, informs that it is Sri P.V.Krishnaiah, learned counsel, who is engaged in the matter by the writ petitioners and he has to make his submissions.

Though the name of Sri P.V.Krishnaiah is also printed in the cause list, he is not ready and willing to proceed with the matter. The matter has already undergone 16 adjournments. Earlier, on 22-01-2008, I adjourned the matter and again on 07-03-2008 when a request has been made on behalf of Sri P.V.Krishnaiah, I adjourned the matter to today.
