This writ petition is filed for the following relief: ".....to issue a Writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, by declaring the action of the respondent No. 1 in not releasing the convict L.Rammohan Reddy convict No.1789 presently detained under the 2nd respondent, pursuant to G.O.Ms.No. 338 Home (Prisons C) Department dated 24.07.2009, though there is no prohibition in the said G.O. for the release of the convict as illegal, arbitrary and it is further consequentially prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to forthwith release the said convict...:"

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents has placed on record the written instructions dated 30.01.2020 received from the Superintendent, Central Prison, Cherlapally and stated that the convict prisoner was released from Central Prison, Kadapa on 26.01.2016 as per G.O.Ms.No.9, Home (Parole) Department, dated 25.01.2016. In the light of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition.
