HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No. 4169 OF 2019 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Cr.P.C.') is filed by the petitioner - accused No.4 viz., Smt. Thatikonda Chandana seeking to quash the proceedings against her in C.C. No.611 of 2019 on the file of the learned XV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad.

2. Charge sheet came to be filed against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 406 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, in Crime No.16 of 2012 dated 26.04.2012 of Women Police Station, Hyderabad.

3. Though the present criminal petition is filed seeking to quash the entire proceedings, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts the prayer seeking to dispense with the presence of the petitioner before the trial Court on every date of adjournment.

4. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that since identity of the petitioner is not in dispute, their presence in the above C.C. may not be necessary on every date of adjournment.

5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, personal appearance of the petitioner in C.C. No.611 of 2019 on the file of the learned XV Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, is

hereby dispensed with except on the dates when his presence is specifically required by the trial Court.

6. With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Criminal Petition stand closed.
