CVNR, J WP 17300/2007 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief: "...to issue a Writ, Order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not paying the salaries to the petitioners in terms of G.O. Ms. No.226, dated 29.06.2005 and to declare the same as illegal, arbitrary and violative of principles of natural justice and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to pay the salaries in terms of G.O. Ms. No.226, dated 29.06.2005 along with arrears of salary."

At the hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in pursuance of the interim order granted by this Court on 13.8.2007, respondent No.4 has considered the petitioner's representation and that the petitioner has already retired from service. He has accordingly submitted that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P. No.22131 of 2007 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
