The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner and possessor of the land admeasuring 1620.00 sq.yards in Sy.No.91/A situated at Chinthakunta Grampanchayat, Karimnagar Mandal and District. While so, the petitioner executed a registered gift deed in favour of his son and submitted the same for registration on 05.07.2016 before the 2nd respondent and the 2nd respondent gave pending registration number as P80/2016 and kept pending without releasing the same. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

In the present case, the 2nd respondent having received the document presented by the petitioner on 05.07.2016, either has to pass orders under Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908 and communicate the same to the petitioner or has to release the document by registering the same.

In view of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass orders as per Section 71 of the Act, if he wants to refuse for registration, otherwise he shall register and release the same. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
