Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies. The principal complaint of the petitioner is against inaction of the respondents in not appointing the petitioner as Fair Price Shop dealer in place of his deceased father as illegal and unconstitutional.

Learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies submits that the Government issued G.O.Ms.No.4 dated 28.2.2014 enabling consideration of eligible candidates for appointment as licensed hawkers in place of the deceased person.

Having regard to the above submission, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the claim of the petitioner for appointment as licensee to distribute/sale of kerosene in terms of G.O.Ms.No.4 dated 28.2.2014 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous Petitions if

any pending shall stand closed.
