ORAL ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

Aggrieved by the orders of the Revenue Divisional Officer dated 30.6.2018, petitioner filed appeal under Section 4-A of A.P. Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 1977 (Act 9 of 1977). Alleging inaction in disposal of the said second appeal, petitioner filed this writ petition. Copy of the second appeal stated to have been filed by the petitioner is filed as Ex.P.1 to the paper book. However, there is no endorsement of receipt of the same.

Since the prayer in the writ petition itself is expeditious disposal of the second appeal filed by petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the District Collector-second respondent to dispose of the second appeal, expeditiously, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, if the same is received within the time prescribed under the Act, 1977 and still pending. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
