HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.12550 of 2017 ORDER:

Though notice was served on the respondent bank as long back as on 27.4.2017, so far no counter-affidavit is filed on its behalf. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent bank produced a copy of a letter before this Court stating that the same is the basis for freezing the bank account of the petitioner.

A perusal of the said letter does not disclose as to under what authority and under what provision of law, the respondent bank has freezed the account of the petitioner.

In view of the same, as the freezing of the account of the petitioner by the respondents is without any authority of law and without any valid reason. As such, this Writ Petition is allowed with exemplary costs of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) payable by the respondent bank to the petitioner.

As a sequel, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
