THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.33581 OF 2016 ORDER :

Heard. With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The grievance of the petitioners is that from times immemorial daily "Kainkaryams" namely Nitya Deepa, Dhoopa, Naivedyams are being rendered at Tirumala to Sri Venkateswara Swamy Varu by four families and each male member of those families automatically becomes Hereditary Archaka. The grievance of the petitioners is that they are not allowed to perform Archakatva Kainkaryams. Aggrieved by the action of the respondent Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (for short 'the TTD') in not allowing the petitioners to perform Archakatva Kainkaryams, and inducting some outsiders, petitioners have filed appeal before the Board of Trustees of TTD, on 23.03.2016. However, the same is not disposed of till date. 3.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Standing Counsel representing TTD submits that since the appeal is pending the writ petition may be disposed of directing the appellate Board to pass orders on the appeal.

Having regard to these submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Board of Trustees of TTD to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioners on 23.03.2016, as expeditiously as possible, preferably

within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
