ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "......to issue a writ more in the nature of Writ of Mandamus or any other writ order or direction to declare the impugned proceedings of the 1st respondent bearing Rc.No.A2/602/2016, dated 29.05.2019 as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and void being violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and to set side the same and consequently direct the respondents to continue the petitioner as Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-II at Government B.C. Boys Hostel Chinnakorukondi, Khammam District with all consequential benefits and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." Rajasekhara Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and learned Government Pleader for Services-II appearing for the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that he is working as Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-II and he is discharging his duties as such. While so, the 1st respondent has issued the impugned proceedings dated 29.5.2019 reverting the petitioner to lower cadre since he has not acquired the requisite qualification for holding the post of Hostel Welfare Officer.

preferred an appeal before the appellate authority-4th respondent on 26.7.2019. But, so far, the appeal is not disposed of.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed directing the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner. Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the 4th respondent would soon dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the considered view that this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the 4th respondent-appellate authority to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 26.7.2019 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
