Heard Sri P.B.Balarami Reddy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj, Sri MSR Chandra Murthy, learned Special counsel for respondents 2 and 3 and Sri G.Seshadri, learned standing counsel for respondents 4 and 5.

2. The petitioner was appointed as Field Assistant of Hemavathi Grama Panchayat, Amarapuram Mandal, Anantapuram District in the year 2006. On a complaint dated 07.08.2015 from the Program Officer of Amarapuram Mandal, the petitioner was placed under suspension vide orders dated 08.08.2015 of the 3rd respondent. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the said orders have been issued without levelling specific charges or without conducting any enquiry. On the other hand, learned special counsel for respondents 2 and 3 would submit that soon after order of suspension, a charge memo was served on the petitioner and the Competent Authority is proposing to conduct enquiry into the charges levelled against him.

3. Under these circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the 3rd respondent-Project Director, is directed to conduct enquiry against the petitioner and pass final orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which the petitioner shall be reinstated into service.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this writ petition, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
