ORDER:

Petitioner is aggrieved by changes affected in the revenue records in favour of unofficial respondent. These changes were made in the year 2016. On 05.03.2018, petitioner made representation to the Tahsildar, Madanapalle Mandal requesting to cancel the patta granted in favour unofficial respondent. He alleges tampering of ROR and adangal records fraudulently and request to rectify the entries and to record his name in revenue records. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this writ petition is filed.

Representation was made only on 05.03.2018. It cannot be said that competent authority is negligent in not passing orders on the representation made by petitioner. Further, according to Section 3 of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, an application can be made for updating of record of rights. As per sub-section (3) of Section 3, any person affected of such rights may within one year from the date of notification referred to in sub-section (2) apply for rectification of entry. Apparently, no such application was made within one year. Taking note of this fact also, it cannot be said that Tahsildar is negligent in not acting upon the representation. Therefore, no direction as sought for can be granted. Granting liberty to petitioner to avail remedy as available in law, writ petition is disposed of.
