HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 22539 of 2003 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the 2nd petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in any suitable post, as arbitrary and illegal.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is reported by the standing counsel for APSRTC appearing on behalf of the respondents that the petitioners have already received the additional monetary benefit, in lieu of compassionate appointment and, therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive.

In view of the submission made by the learned standing counsel for the respondents, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs. ______________________________ ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J 6th September, 2018 cbs
