THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR W.P. NO. 26429 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner applied for correction of his passport and the 2nd respondent-Regional Passport Officer issued a letter dated 27.3.2015 requiring the petitioner to send relevant documents by post or appear in person before the enquiry officer at the passport office. Aggrieved by the said letter, the present writ petition is filed on the ground that the documents which are now sought to be produced are already available with the passport office. I do not see any ground to invoke the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India when the petitioner was merely asked to send relevant documents by post or produce in person. If the documents are already with the passport office, the petitioner is at liberty to make a representation to the 2nd respondent to that effect. With the said liberty, the writ petition is dismissed.

Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
