THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.25589 of 2011 ORDER:

The complaint of the petitioner was that the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein were not taking appropriate action upon her representation dated 30.05.2011, whereby she sought return of the land admeasuring Ac.0.50 cents in Survey No.23/B of Devanakonda Village and Mandal, Kurnool District. Admittedly, this land was donated by the petitioner herself to the State for construction of police quarters. However, on the ground that the land was not being put to use, the petitioner sought return of the same. Sri Kowturu Vinaya Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, informed this Court that the Superintendent of Police, Kurnool, addressed letter dated 04.11.2011 to the Collector and District Magistrate, Kurnool, marking a copy thereof to the petitioner wherein he referred to the request of the petitioner for return of the said land and stated that permission in this regard had to be granted by the Government and the head of the department.

In the light of the aforestated communication, Sri Kowturu Vinaya Kumar, learned counsel, states that the petitioner may be given liberty to approach the Government or the competent authority for the relief sought in this writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly closed leaving it open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies in accordance with law in relation to the grievance raised in this writ petition. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
