THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.10668 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment as fair price shop dealer of Shop No.7, Ravipadu Village, Pedanandipadu Mandal, Guntur District on compassionate grounds in terms of G.O.Ms.No.4 Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS-1) Department, dated 28.02.2014, in the place of the father of the petitioner herein.

Heard Sri K.Joseph, learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (A.P.) appearing for the respondents apart from perusing the material available on record.

According to the petitioner, his father, while functioning as fair price shop dealer of Shop No.7, Ravipadu Village, Pedanandipadu Mandal, Guntur District, passed away on 09.01.2017 and that the petitioner herein submitted a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Guntur/respondent No.3 on 08.02.2017 praying for appointment on compassionate grounds in terms of the G.O. mentioned supra. In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for a direction to respondent No.3 for his appointment on compassionate grounds in terms of the said G.O.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents, this Court deems

it appropriate to direct the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 08.02.2017, said to have been submitted by the petitioner herein for appointment as fair price shop dealer of the aforesaid shop in terms of G.O.Ms.No.4 Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS-1) Department, dated 28.02.2014, and dispose of the same within a period of three

(3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
