This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the Memo vide Rc.No.A1/3/276/Cyb/2019 of the 2nd respondent for issuance of fresh arms license to the petitioner and to set aside the said memo and for a consequential direction to the 1st respondent to consider petitioner's representation dt.23.04.2019 afresh.
The case of the petitioner is that he submitted application for grant of arms license and the same has been rejected by the 2nd respondent on the ground that there is no specific threat against the petitioner from any group or individual; and that the petitioner filed appeal against the said order on 23.04.2019 before the 1st respondent, but no orders are passed, till date. Heard both sides.
In view of the facts and circumstances, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks form the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
