Petitioners And The State of Telangana, Rep., by its Principal Secretary to Government, Panchayat Raj Department, Telangana Secretariat, Hyderabad 500 022 & others. .. Respondents This court made the following :
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.6757 OF 2017 ORDER :
Heard. With the consent of both the counsel, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2.
First petitioner-Association represent the Panchayat Secretaries. Second petitioner is working as Panchayat Secretary Grade-I. The grievance of the petitioners is that earlier they were called as Village Development Officers, Grade-I and later redesignated as Panchayat Secretary Grade-I. Prior to redesignation, promotional avenue was available to Village Development Officers to seek promotion to the post of Office Superintendent. Consequent to re-designation since the rules did not recognize the re-designated post, as a feeder cadre to the post of Office Superintendent, promotions are not granted. 3.
Ventilating their grievance the Association submitted representation on 06.05.2016 requesting special attention of the Special Chief Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Government of Telangana, to their grievance and to take remedial steps. Alleging inaction on the representation causing hardship to the members of the 1st petitioner-Association, this writ petition is filed.
4.
Since representation submitted by the petitioners is stated to be pending, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition and keep the writ petition pending.
5.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to examine the claim of the petitioners as ventilated in
their representation dated 06.05.2016, take a decision and pass appropriate orders and communicate the same to the petitioners within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
