O R D E R

Aggrieved by the proceedings No.C6/684/2017 dated 09.11.2017 issued by the 2nd respondent - District Collector and District Magistrate, Mahabubnagar, in revoking the gun license of the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that against the impugned proceedings, petitioner has an alternative remedy of appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959, which could not be disputed by counsel for petitioner, but states that the impugned proceedings were passed without application of mind.

It is not the case of petitioner that there is any violation of principles of natural justice in passing impugned order or that it is passed without jurisdiction. In view of these circumstances and as there is alternative remedy of appeal against the impugned proceedings, I am not inclined to interfere with the same and the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to avail alternative remedy of appeal under Section 18 of the said Act.
