HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION Nos.10656, 13189 and 13190 of 2007 COMMON ORDER:

Notifications dated 05.05.2007 and 13.06.2007, issued by the District Collector, Krishna District, under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short 'Old Act'), proposing to acquire Ac.57.46 cents and Ac.63.89 cents in various survey numbers of Jakkampudi Village, Vijayawada, Krishna District 'for development of township' is challenged in these writ petitions. In W.P.No.4360 of 2007 and batch dated 04.06.2010, this Court, relying on the judgment of this Court, in Gajjella Narsimha Reddy v. Collector, Ranga Reddy District1, having held that the purpose for which the land was proposed to be acquired is vague, struck down the notification.

It is fairly conceded by the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition that, following the order in W.P.No.4360 of 2007 and batch dated 04.06.2010, this Court, by order dated 13.06.2013 in W.P.No.13366 of 2007 and batch, allowed batch of writ petitions.

The impugned notifications dated 05.05.2007 and 13.06.2007 are quashed and the Writ Petitions are accordingly allowed.
